The town of Kastela is located on the coast between the famous cities of Trogir and Split. The castles are essentially a series of seven historical fortresses. In About 16 km long and 4 km wide populated area around the forts there are 40,000 inhabitants. There used to be 13 fortifications along the coast, which is why the region is also known as "Fort Street". Today you can still visit seven historic fortifications. However, the landmark of the city is not castles, but a powerful olive tree about 1500 years old, which is located in Kaštel Štafilić.
With numerous sights in Kaštela and in the neighboring cities of Split and Trogir, the region offers fantastic pebble beaches for swimmers. Pine trees create natural shade on the beaches, which is especially appreciated by families with children. Cafes and bars along the beach promenade offer to the swimmers cold drinks and various dishes. Children's playgrounds are a welcome change for small beach hikers, while numerous sports and recreational activities await active hikers.
In the evening, restaurants and taverns in the area invite you to taste the specialties of Dalmatian cuisine. Dalmatian prosciutto, fish dishes and seafood are just some of the delicacies you will find on the menus of the restaurant. For wine lovers, we recommend Crljenak, better known as Zinfandel. from Kaštela, which the locals like to call "lost brother".
If you want to round off your evening in good company, we recommend small Kastela cafes or bars. In the summer months, traditional festivities and other events await you in certain neighborhoods. Those who prefer calmer evenings, will find the ideal backdrop for romantic walks along the promenade and historic castles.

Along the Waterfront and in the center of Split in the evening you can expect specialties of Dalmatian cuisine. Freshly caught fish, squid risotto, lobster and other delicacies are found on the menus of taverns and restaurants. After a light meal, it is recommended to take a pleasant walk along the Waterfront. In the evening, there is colorfulness and vivacity. Entertainment can be found almost everywhere in the center of Split. Social nightlife can be found in popular city places, such as the Fabrique pub.

The town of Trogir is only 10 km away from the Apartments and 27 km away from the metropolis of Split. The town and small resorts on the Riviera are a popular destination for holidays and excursions.
Trogir owes its special charm to the Romans. They used a canal to separate the old city core from the mainland. When you cross the bridge to the old town today, your journey through the city's exciting history of over 2,000 years begins. Narrow, romantic streets lead you to historic buildings and squares framed by the dreamy promenade. In 1997, UNESCO declared the entire old town complex a World Heritage Site.
